Week 2 of second round December 16, 2016

Filed under: Fantasy Football — Chad @ 10:58 am

CT is up by 45 points going into Sunday, its going to be tough for Chaz to make a combeback.

Gina is down by 25 points and I don’t think she will be able to make it up. Even with Jer starting an inactive Julio, Gina’s weak WR showing, and lackluster RB play, she dug herself into deep of a whole.

I expect a old dad championship with Jer and CT

In the winner’s consolation bracket, “the battle of the whitey’s who semi-matter” they have scored points but no one really cares. No money is rewarded to the winner

the consolation ladder

Chad is up by 45.5 points after a crappy Thursday Night Football game. Chad is predicted to win. Armory is down by 9 but according the projections, he will win but 18.

Chad vs Amory for the whopping $20 prize for the best loser of the 2016 bolshet games.

The Srinivasa Bowl, Jer P vs Jody P, no body cares. Surprisingly these two score more points now without changing there lineups since week 4. 3 wins combined between these 2 but they have put a lot of scare into their opponents.

The purpose of this post was to test a iPad Pro 12″ with a Smart Keyboard. (Its not bad to type on, its a pretty natural transition. No mouse/trackpad is a little bit annoying. Having to use chrome to split screen, would be really nice if i could split screen two safari windows. Guess what! You can!) I guess this is kind of cool for wordpress blogging, would probably still want a surface pro or a MacBook for more functionality.

This is within the safari.app, looks like you can’t make one side bigger than the other. The chrome and safari might be a little bettter for some.

Side note:

There are apparently two version of Barney’s “I Love You” song. One version with the show “Barney and the Backyard Gang” and another with “Barney and Friends.” Either way I was singing the song wrong. I would have incorrectly sang the second verse of the seoncd version.

CT – x

  • Win – 1st
  • Loss + Kenny win – 2nd

Kenny – p

  • Win + CT win – 2nd
  • Win + CT loss – 1st
  • Loss + Jer L win – 3rd
  • Loss + Jer L loss – 2nd
  • Loss + Amory/Sheff win (with 100 more points) – 3rd/4th. + Jer L win – 4th/5th. (This scenario is nearly impossible)

Jer L – p

  • Win + Kenny win – 3rd
  • Win + Kenny loss – 2nd
  • Loss + Amory or Sheff win – 4th
  • Loss + Amory and Sheff win – 5th
  • Loss + Amory and Sheff loss – 3rd
  • Note, if one of the 5 win teams scores a super major amount of points, Jer L could get lower than sixth, but  that isn’t happening. Chad’s still over 50 points away and he’s the closest

Amory

  • Win  + Jer L loss – 3rd
  • Win + Jer L win – 4th
  • Loss + 3 of these situations = Out
    • Sheff win
    • Chad win (-85 pt diff)
    • James win (-0.5 pt diff)
    • Gina win (21.5 pt diff)
    • Chris win (43.5 pt diff)

Sheff

  • Win + Jer L loss, Amory loss – 3rd
  • Win + Jer L or Amory win – 4th
  • Win + Jer L win, Amory win – 5th
  • Loss + 2 of these or 3 of these if Amory loss and score +10pts to Amory = Out
    • Chad win (-95 pt diff)
    • James win (-10.5 pt diff)
    • Gina win (11.5 pt diff)
    • Chris win (33.5 pt diff)

Chad

  • Win + Jer L (-52.5), Amory, Sheff loss – 3rd
  • Win + Amory loss, Sheff loss – 4th
  • Win + Amory or Sheff win – 5th
  • Win + Amory win, Sheff win – 6th
  • Loss + Gina, James, and Chris loss – 6th
  • Loss + Gina or James or Chris win = Out

James

  • Win + Amory, Sheff, and Chad loss – 4th
  • Win + 1 of Amory, Chad, Sheff win – 5th
  • Win + 2 of Amory, Chad, Sheff win – 6th
  • Win + Amory, Chad (-84.5), Sheff win – OUT
  • Loss + Chad (-84.5), Gina (+22), and Chris (+43.5) Loss – 6th
  • Loss + 1 of Chad, Gina, Chris win – OUT

Gina

  • Win + Chad, James, and Chris Loss – 6th
  • Win + Chad Loss, James (-22) and Chris Win (+22) – 6th
  • Win + Chad Loss or James Loss, Amory loss (21.5) -6th
  • Win + Chad and James Loss, Chris Win (+22) – 6th
  • Win + Amory (-21.5) and Sheff (-11.5) – Shenanigans
  • Loss – OUT

Chris

  • Win + Chad, James, Gina Lose – 6th
  • Win + Chad Loss, James (-44) and Gina Win (-22) – 6th
  • Win + Chad and James Loss, Gina Win (-22) – 6th
  • Loss – OUT

Matt

  • Win + Chad, James, Gina, Chris Loss (+200) – 6th

There are couple scenarios for Gina and Chris to lose and still make 6th but all the others would have to lose and they would have to score a fuck load of points.

Week 10 Review November 15, 2016

Filed under: Fantasy Football — Chad @ 12:39 pm

Week 10

CT locks up a playoff spot and round 1 bye, 2 teams vying for 2nd place still, 3 of the 5 4th placers lose, Jer P somehow loses to a QBless team, and the dark horese is still alive.

(playoff comments are for current standing)

Jody (2-8) @ Jer P (1-9)

Holy CRAP! Did no see this coming, Jody with the upset. Big scores from Jody’s Cowboys allowed him to overcome a BYE week QB. Jer P might want to try the “Jody” strategy he might win more games.

Was completely wrong here.

Prediction: Jeremy will get enough points from DHop and Cousins to beat a QBless Jody.

no playoff implications in this game

Matt (4-6) @ Chris (5-5)

Chris loses by one point. Its been a tough two weeks for Chris, two losses by only 3.5 points. Chris has dropped all the way to last “6th” place from last “4th.” Surprisingly less whiney this week.

3Mariota=2Bortles, although Matt didn’t use him. OBJ scores 20 and Evans and Ingram did didley. I sort of right but mostly wrong

Chris is the least likely to make the play offs of the non Matts and JPs

Prediction: Mariota and Bortles Tie,  Chris wins this game with OBJ(>20pts) and Evans if healthy. Ingram will help him acquire the points needed , but only if he goes “Latavius” on the Broncos.

Chris needs to win, score a lot of points, and a chad loss

James (5-5) @ Chad (5-5)

Chad pull off the upset to stay alive in the playoff picture. Riding Blount all the way to a current play off spot.

Gurley continued to be a nobody, Gordon and Rivers didn’t put up that many points. Palmer and Green did “meh.”

James out and Chad in

Prediction: James wins by less than 10 points. Gurley will continue being a guy, but Gordon and Rivers will score many points. Green and Palmer will be Chad’s highscorers.

James wins and he’s in; Chad needs to win and losses from others

Jer L (6-4) @ Chazz (6-4)

Chazz upsets Jer. Mediocre performances from Brady and lackluster RB play from Jer couldn’t handle Chazz’s 2 WRs.

I was wrong here Jones was kind of Jonesish, Brady was taken down by the Seahawks.

Jer still in, Chazz in.

Prediction: Brady and Julio will outscore Ajayi enough to bring Jer the Win in a low scoring affair.

Jer already in the playoffs; Chazz needs a win, points and a chad loss

Amory (6-4) @ Kenny (7-3)

Kenny loses by a controversial call in the Pats game, a TD by Gronk would have gotten him the tie maybe more. Amory upsets the #1 team, ZEKE is a monster and could carry Amory to the championship.

It was a high scoring, I chose the wrong winner.

Kenny has put his bye week up for grabs with Amory, Chazz, and Jer L eyeing it. Amory moves up one spot in the playoff picture.

Prediction: Kenny wins this high scoring match up. Murray runs all over GB, Elliott continues his Rookie of the Year campaign each will score 20+

Kenny is in; Amory needs to match the 4th placers and a chad loss

Gina (5-5) @ CT (8-2)

CT’s RBs gave CT the win over Gina. Gina fielded a WR not suited up for the game but Floyd wouldn’t have saved her. CT had 5 players over 20pts thats hard for any team to overcome.

I was right, but it was a dominate performance by CT.

CT moves back into 1st place.  Gina loses her way out of a playoff position.

Prediction: CT wins a close one, his team matchups are just too easy to not score enough points.

CT in the playoffs unless a shitstorm happens; Gina needs to stay on pace with others and a chad loss

I’m way wrong here: current playoff picture: CT (win) Kenny (loss) Jer L (loss) Amory (win) Chazz (win) Chad (win)

James, Gina, Chris still have a chance

Playoff Prediction (next two weeks)

1 Kenny (2-0)

2 Jer L (2-0)

3 CT (0-2)

4. Gina (2-0)

5. Chad (2-0)

6. James (1-1)

Amory, Chazz, and Chris (1-1) but do not score enough points to break a tie

Chris will whine like usual, and pretend to have forgotten his paypal password. Then will continue his streak of consecutive months with out hanging out.

Bonus Predictions:

NFL (2-1): Texans Win exactly how I predicted; I was wrong and the Eagles Win; Cowboys win a highscoring affair.

College (3-3): Alabama Rolled: Michigan is upset and lose their QB; Washington loses a semi-close game; OU rolls BU, Seth dangles his ankle in defeat; Aggie loses a close one; Of course Texas Loses

NFL: Texans Win by <7, Brock continues to be a dissapointment; Eagles Lose; Cowboys win;

College: Alabama and Michigan Roll on; Washington wins a close one; Baylor upsets OU; Aggie loses Ole’ Miss; Texas turns the ball over, and loses to WVU

Week 10 preview November 9, 2016

Week 10

Two weeks left in the regular season, two teams pretty much locked in for the playoffs, another with a chance still at a bye week, 5 others tied for the last 3 spots, and one dark horse with a slim chance.

These “Power Rankings” and predictions are brought to you by the 9th pick in the draft who drafted AJ Green a good pick, and Allen Robinson a less than ok pick. Currently 4-5 with a 3rd ranked 1011 Points For and a 1st/12th ranked 1011 points against.

I will sort of rank these matchups based on importance.

Jody (1-8) @ Jer P (1-8)

This is a preview of the Srinivasa Bowl, which I nominate to be the JP bowl. With Jody’s QB on bye and the expectation he will still be in his line up come Monday at 7:30, I expect Jeremy to win, it will be a little tougher than usual with McCoy on bye. The schedule worked out to where neither team will help or hurt the leagues playoffs.

Prediction: Jeremy will get enough points from DHop and Cousins to beat a QBless Jody.

no playoff implications in this game

Matt (3-6) @ Chris (5-4)

Chris needs to win this game to stay alive, of Chris’s two remaining games this is the by far the easier of the two. He will end the season against the #1 team, Kenny. Chris is in last place of the tied teams in 4th place in Points For. He is in first place  of those tied for the whiniest. Chris will need to score points to make the playoffs. For Matt, he is seemingly is just happy to not be in the bottom two. If you don’t count Jody, he is still there. Was Paris worth it??

Prediction: Mariota and Bortles Tie,  Chris wins this game with OBJ(>20pts) and Evans if healthy. Ingram will help him acquire the points needed , but only if he goes “Latavius” on the Broncos.

Chris needs to win, score a lot of points, and a chad loss

James (5-4) @ Chad (4-5)

James, of the 4th placers, has the easiest remaining schedule. James has same amount wins as his two remaining opponents. If James wins this game, he is a lock for the playoffs. James is 4th in Points For, he will continue to score and win any tiebreakers. Chad has a slim chance to make the playoffs. He needs to win out and needs at least 3 of the 5 4th place teams to lose one game. Chad is 3rd in Points For which should be enough to break ties in favor of him.

Prediction: James wins by less than 10 points. Gurley will continue being a guy, but Gordon and Rivers will score many points. Green and Palmer will be Chad’s highscorers.

James wins and he’s in; Chad needs to win and losses from others

Jer L (6-3) @ Chazz (5-4)

Jer has the 3rd easiest remaining schedule, and Chazz has the 2nd. Matchup’s with Matt and Jer P respectively for those two. Jer is #1 in Points For, he looks to continue his bounce back from the loss to Jody. Jer is 99% locked for the playoffs, a win and loss by either CT or Kenny will get him a BYE week. Chazz needs points he is 2nd to Chris in weakest schedule of the 4th placers. He needs a win and score many points. Chazz’s wk 11 match up against Jer P could earn him a playoff spot.

Prediction: Brady and Julio will outscore Ajayi enough to bring Jer the Win in a low scoring affair.

Jer already in the playoffs; Chazz needs a win, points and a chad loss

Amory (5-4) @ Kenny (7-2)

Kenny is number 1 team, in my opinion the most consistent team in the league.  Amory’s strong play from his RBs and sort of resurgence of Fantasy Brees has been enough to get him into “luck” his way into contention. Kenny is locked for the playoffs, the bye week is on the line with a tough schedule against two of the 4th placers. Amory is currently 5th place with the tie breaker, a win this week or next week should be enough.

Prediction: Kenny wins this high scoring match up. Murray runs all over GB, Elliott continues his Rookie of the Year campaign each will score 20+

Kenny is in; Amory needs to match the 4th placers and a chad loss

Gina (5-4) @ CT (7-2)

David Johnson returns for CT which should bring him back to his winning ways. Gina is happy to see Ben back on the field as AB is just a guy with out him. CT needs to bring back consistency to his team, DJ and Bell should be able to do that for his team. DJ and Fitz against SF should be what he needs. Gina is 6th place due to tiebreakers. Next weeks match up for her will have more meaning but a win here will make the odds more in her favor.

Prediction: CT wins a close one, his team matchups are just too easy to not score enough points.

CT in the playoffs unless a shitstorm happens; Gina needs to stay on pace with others and a chad loss

Power Rankings

12. Jody – Ignored his team most of the season with only 2 lineup changes

11. Jer P – Not much to say, but good on you for changing your lineup

10. Matt – Schedule vacation around the draft

9. Chris – Good defense in FF just means easiest schedule

8. Chazz – See above

7. Chad – “Terrible Defense” and inconsistent at all positions

6. Gina – Weak at the RB

5. Amory – Strong at QB/RB with 2 WR2s

4. James – Gordon carries this team, but has the points to back his argument

3. CT – Too dependent on D Johnson. Record a product of schedule.

2. Jer L  Strong at QB and WR1 but will need better RB play to contend for the championship.

1.  Kenny – Consistent play across all positions. There are no real stand outs here but all close to the top of at each position.

Playoff Prediction (next two weeks)

1 Kenny (2-0)

2 Jer L (2-0)

3 CT (0-2)

4. Gina (2-0)

5. Chad (2-0)

6. James (1-1)

Amory, Chazz, and Chris (1-1) but do not score enough points to break a tie

Chris will whine like usual, and pretend to have forgotten his paypal password. Then will continue his streak of consecutive months with out hanging out.

Bonus Predictions:

NFL: Texans Win by <7, Brock continues to be a dissapointment; Eagles Lose; Cowboys win;

College: Alabama and Michigan Roll on; Washington wins a close one; Baylor upsets OU; Aggie loses Ole’ Miss; Texas turns the ball over, and loses to WVU

donald-trump-grow-up

This guy is now the President Elect of the United States. I didn’t vote for the guy, but I didn’t vote for Hilary either. His victory speech was actually not terrible. I can say I hope he does “Make America Great Again” but I don’t think my definition of great equals his. I hope he proves me wrong.

EDIT 06-24-2020: THIS GUY FUCKING SUCKS

Week 9 Chris is a sore loser… November 8, 2016

Filed under: Fantasy Football — Chad @ 5:10 pm

Week 9 review

After week 9, CT loses his top spot after earning his second loss. Kenny moves up to 1st beating CT with the top score of the week. Jer L, James, and Amory win to stay in contention. Chris, Gina, Chazz lose to but still have chances to make the playoffs. Chad pulls off a little of upset to stay alive with a slim chance. Matt continues his ways of beating teams to upset their chances, but still sucks. Jer P and Jody are in line for the Srinivasa Bowl.

Playoffs if started today:  Kenny, CT, Jer L, James, Amory, Gina
Week 9 Awards

AP Award (Largest Margin of Victory) – Amory over Jody (71.5pts)
The “Jaybird” Award (Highest Team Score) – Kenny scored 135 pts
“Take it like a Champ” Award (Lowest Team Score) – Jody scored 40 pts

THE SOREST LOSER AWARD (Whiniest Team) goes to Chris

Week 9 Review

Gina (5-3) vs. Jeremy L. (5-3)  96 – 128

Jeremy wins in a rout led by Julio and Matt Ryan, Gina needed bigger games from her running backs to be competitive but Stewart and Duke aren’t going to cut it.
Bold Prediction: Jeremy will come out victorious in a close game.

Kenny (6-2) vs. Charlton (7-1) 135 – 100
Kenny shows CT who’s daddy with a 35 points whooping. Kenny’s team had nothing wrong with it this week, even his bench players did well. CT’s RBs only score a combine 11.5 that is not going work against the now number 1 team. CT can’t wait for D Johnson to come off bye.

Bold Prediction: This could be a preview of the championship game but Kenny will come out with the win in this one as Charlton won’t have D. Johnson (21.3 pts/week) and L. Fitzgerald (13.9 pts/game) in week 9.

Jody (1-7) vs. Amory (4-4) 40.5 – 112

Not much to say here, Amory wins in a landslide. Zeke along with David Johnson are looking to be great 1st round picks this season. Jody continues to ignore his team fielding 2 players on bye.

Bold Prediction: Jody looks to deploy starters on bye week once again which will result in Amory winning in a blowout.

Chazz (5-3) vs. James (4-4) 89.5 – 127

2/3 of the white people in Bolshet games went to battle with James coming out victorius. Melvin Gordon goes off for 34 points, Gurley and the Rams still suck. Chazz needs better WR play.

Bold Prediction: I like James in this one only because he’s sexy and Chazz is hairy

.file-nov-08-5-00-50-pm

Matt (2-6) vs. Jeremy P. (1-7) 123-72

Matt comes out on top in the game of crappy active players. Mariota and Graham were good additions to Matt’s crappy team. Those two almost scoring enough to beat Jer P’s abysmal team.

Bold Prediction: Both teams have had a miserable season and don’t have much to play for this week except seed ranking for the consolation bracket. Matt will win this one in a low scoring affair.

Chris (5-3) vs. Chad (3-5) 124-126.5

Game of the Week. Chad pulls off the upset, with Murray stealing all the points from David Carr. Chad’s WRs all in double digits, Kaep’s decent performance against a crappy NO D was enough to win. Ingram and Evans couldn’t overcome poor performances from Carr, West, Landry. The Seahawks and Haushka made it close on Monday. Thanks to the Raiders Chris has acquired a new award, the first ever “The Sorest Loser Award.”all he had to do was ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ Raise Your Bortles ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ

Bold Prediction: This could go either way but I’m leaning towards Chad due to Chris’s team inability to meet their projected scores.

Texas Wins, OK St Wins, OSU destroys Nebraska, Alabama beats LSU in the 4th of a defensive game.

Bonus Bold Prediction: Texans don’t lose, Longhorns sneak out a win in Lubbock over the Raiders, Kansas St. upsets #18 Okie St., #6 holds off #10 Nebraska, #13 LSU shocks #1 Alabama
